Analog filter 2nd-order Bessel
Output impedance 10 Ohms (unbalanced) / 20 Ohms (balanced)

Features and benefits.

Fully balanced differential DAC. DIR9001 Digital Audio Receiver and separate temperature-compensated crystal oscillator deliver impressive ultra low jitter performance of 10 ps (after reclocking).
  • The OPUS’ produces a sound picture of unequalled transparency and tonal accuracy from both hard drive and CD.
SRC4194 Sample Rate Converter. Upsamples any lower audio standard to 176.4 kHz 24-bit, and later in the process to 352.8 kHz (8 times the CD rate).
  • Listening to music on your OPUS is a lot like attending a live performance. With its wide soundstage and excellent separation of instruments, the OPUS conveys the exact acoustical characteristics of the original recording, and the placement of the performers within it.
Matched pair of TI’s top-of-the-line 24-bit 192 kHz DAC modules (PCM1794A). Combined with Olive’s harmonious circuit design the OPUS’ delivers an industry-leading signal-to-noise ratio of more than 123 dB.
  • Sound on your OPUS comes from of a truly black background, revealing all the nuances and subtleties that make your hair stand on end.
Precision analog output section with ultra-fast op-amps and a gentle 2nd-order Bessel reconstruction filter.
  • Eliminates feedback and transient response issues, which cause the music to sound edgy and harsh. The OPUS delivers the warm, open and spacious sound that has –up to today– only been achieved with high-end vinyl solutions.
Harmonious circuit design.
  • Minimizes jitter and reduces parasitic inductance and capacitance by using the shortest digital signal path possible.
High precision power supply AC line filter with an ultra-high noise attenuation at close to 80db. Strict separation of digital and analog power supplies.
  • AC noise (EMI/RFI) is virtually eliminated before it ever reaches the power supply. Sensitive analog stages are isolated from all power supply artifacts, and each stage is supplied independently with clean power.
Custom-built low-noise toroidal transformers.
  • Extremely low electromagnetic radiation, increased voltage regulation, high efficiency, low off-load power consumption, and up to 90% less mechanical hum.
  • Deliver several times the VA that is needed in order to guarantee a stable soundstage.
Ultra-fast hexfred recovery rectifier diodes.
  • Reduce noise and improve the dynamics.
Large reservoir capacitors.
  • Provides current reserves for transients and extended bass response
IBM PowerPC Full-scale 32-bit processor
  • Ample processing power for multi-tasking
  • Simultaneous recording of and listening to CDs
  • Flawless encoding and decoding of lossless audio format
  • Fast management and access to extensive music libraries
Hard Drive 400 GB, 500 GB or 750 GB
  • Holds up to 2,200 CDs in lossless quality.
  • HD "floats" on 8x bearing to eliminate vibration and operating noise.
CD Reader & Burner Panasonic CD-R/RW
  • Olive proprietary firmware to reduce rotational noise
  • Powerful error correction systems makes uncorrectable errors quite rare, even most badly scratched discs can be read without difficulty.
  • Burn audio CDs
Networking Wired 4-port switch, auto-sense (10/100)
  • Fast bandwidth for seamless multi-room audio streaming (up to 5 rooms simultaneously)
